Not your typical Friday

I’m interrupting the usual way of Fridays around here because, well, I can. And also because I am in the throws of some of the worst pain I’ve felt in awhile. Sympathy? Pity? Funny knock-knock jokes? Yes, please. All of the above. Send them my way.

Turns out it wasn’t a clogged milk duct making me want to decapitate myself. Just years and years of bad posture and stored stress in the shoulders come back to bite me in the neck. Or maybe it was from that awful attitude of mine . . . too many head twists and finger snaps accompanied by “Oh no he didn’ts.” You know what I’m talking about, I’m sure.

Well no matter the cause, the pain is surprisingly debilitating. I can’t do all the things I love to do like dishes, laundry, vacuuming, lifting children, turning my head to the right. Oh sarcasm. You are a useful little tool.

So in an effort to focus completely and totally on myself, and my poor body, posting will be scarce until after the holidays. No matter how much I love to blog, the mind is willing but the body is weak. I’m even typing this with my feet right now because my arms are connected to my useless shoulders.

Don’t fret though. I’ve got plenty of things to post about. Like how I went to a chiropractor today for the first time in my life. It was the weirdest thing I.have.ever.done. So stay tuned for that crack-tacular post.

And to all you Americans out there, Happy Independence Day! Don’t eat too much flag decorated sweet treats. Yes that was a little reverse psychological right there.

Oh, I feel your pain! I came to discover about a year ago that I have a degenerating disk in my neck (I thought I was just a degenerate, but that's another story). I can't wait to read about YOUR first chiropractor visit, since mine was such an odd experience.

I am so sorry you are unable to do so many of your favorite things (ha) and I hope you are better soon. Dust will continue to accumulate, unfortunately.
