Portraits of Yesteryear: Logs

I don't know why, but I find myself choosing portraits that usually involve the Husband. Well, actually I do know why. It's because I'm always the one behind the camera capturing little moments of our lives, with everyone else as the subject. I know. Cry me a river. Blah, blah, blah. Whatever. Isn't it just a sob story?

Anyway, everytime I see this picture I giggle to myself.
Sometimes I even giggle out loud. Then the Husband wants to know what I'm giggling about so I remind him of that one time on our honeymoon, where he just HAD to push this log into the ocean with nothing other than the awesome strength of his legs. The sea was angry that day my friends. Not much to do except sit there and be miserable. I stayed further up on the beach because I was pouty and agitated about the weather making my hair all frizzy and about the fact that my newly named husband was fascinated by things I could ne'er imagine. Then I snapped this picture and it made me happy.

What is this talk about me being so hard to please? This is just not so (Husband). When in doubt, Karate Kid reenactments will do just fine.

This immediately took me back to my honeymoon in Seattle, where we also had a log picture!
